The “Discover Maldives” webinar series has been launched by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives), as part of a global campaign to increase destination visibility and engage tourism trade professionals globally. The 21st August 2024 webinar for the French market marked the start of the webinar series, which offers insightful information about the many tourism possibilities of the stunning Maldives. In order to ensure successful connection with travel agents and tour operators, each webinar is conducted in a localized language and targets roughly 60–80 travel professionals as well as trade media.
These sessions, which comprise educational lectures by industry partners, give insightful information about the destination’s distinctive experiences, characteristics, and products. Held on 21st August 2024, the first webinar session emphasized the Maldives’ appeal as a top travel destination for tourists from France and other French-speaking countries. Prominent establishments including Angsana Velavaru, Adaaran Resorts & Heritance Aarah, and Intercontinental Maldives Maamunagau took part in Visit Maldives’ inaugural session and shared their distinctive offerings.
The goal of the Discover Maldives webinar series is to sustain and grow the number of travelers from important and developing markets. Through the provision of insightful information and the strengthening of solid relationships with travel industry professionals, MMPRC seeks to establish the Maldives as a destination that travelers from around the world will always consider. Highlighting the range of experiences and diversified tourism products that our destination offers is a key goal of the webinar series, as it draws visitors with a varied range of interests and preferences.
Throughout the first eight months of this year, the Maldives has seen a notable increase in the number of visitors from a number of important markets. China, Russia, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, India, the United States, France, Spain, and Switzerland are now the top markets for the year. The goal of the “Discover Maldives” webinar series is to increase awareness of the destination, draw more tourists from these areas, and foster a stronger sense of the Sunny Side of Life in both new and existing markets.
