The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives, is inviting families to enjoy a four-day celebration from 15th June 2024 to 18th June 2024. This sun-drenched paradise, which was just named the T+L Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2023’s “Best Resort for Families,” boasts a variety of activities to keep visitors of all ages interested and amused.
Arriving in paradise on 15th June, get crafty with a Maldivian-inspired coconut oil making workshop by the pool; remove your flip flops for a tranquil yoga session in the dusk; and indulge in a hearty seaside Eid feast at BBQ Shak ($110 USD per person) under the starry sky. Next, bingo is held in Todis Bar, but it’s not your typical bingo – a night of non-stop excitement with dancing queens, prizes that pop, and rhythms that drop.
Start the day on 16th June with a DIY Group Hammam session ($55 USD per person). Then, don your social cap for the highlight of the day: the colorful Bodumas parade, which features a procession of locals carrying a giant fish made of coconut palm leaves and a folklore-inspired dance off. Enjoy an Eid feast at Kula as night falls, or indulge in fruity hookah pipes at the poolside Shisha Lounge ($65 USD per person), where you may sip on spicy Arabic coffee and cool mint tea without limits. Take in the breathtaking spectacle of the Egyptian tanoura performance, and dance beneath the stars as the DJ spins records.
After an action-packed day of adventures, 17th June is all about relaxation with live music and belly dance at Todis beach and a private Arabian supper at Kula beach ($400 USD per couple). On 18th June, visitors may cap off their Big Eid experience with sunset yoga on Baby Island ($55 USD per person, up to a party of six). After that, they can test their knowledge at the Eid Trivia Extravaganza at Todis bar, which is an intellectually stimulating experience for the whole family.
Last but not least, the kids will love playing traditional Maldivian games like Ohvalhugondi and Kula Jinni, getting crafty with henna tattoos, and joining the rest of the family for the Bodumas procession. They will be kept occupied with a program of their own at Lil’ Shark Kid Club. In addition, there’s crafts, kids’ yoga and Zumba, pool time, movie magic with Aladdin, glitter painting, Eid cookie creation, and much more at The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives.
