The Australian band, The Church has confirmed that they will perform at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives from 3rd May 2025 to 10th May 2025, according to event organisers Music in Paradise. The Church has a worldwide hit “Under the Milky Way,” hailed as one of Australia’s most recognizable rock anthems, served as the inspiration for the event’s moniker. A tropical island getaway is combined with three small-scale performances on the beach and at the resort’s rooftop Sunset Bar, along with exclusive meet-and-greet chances, during the week-long vacation.
The Church, who’ve been making music for over 50 years, mesmerise audiences with their cinematic and atmospheric blend of psychedelic post-rock, dazzling post-punk, frosty dream-pop, and indie rock. According to Mark Eletr, General Manager of Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, the week-long music events, which have grown to be synonymous with the resort, offer amazing performances together with all the great aspects of an island retreat in the Maldives.

I think this is what makes the Music in Paradise events at Kandooma so special. Our staff, the guests and organisers are truly within touching distance of their idols.
