This honour highlights the resort’s strong attention to environmental principles and responsible hospitality.
In a year filled with noteworthy accomplishments, the resort also earned the Green Globe Certification, demonstrating its dedication to reducing its negative effects on the environment, encouraging eco-friendly travel, and creating a sustainable environment for coming generations. In order to obtain this accreditation, one had to meet strict requirements in areas including waste management, water conservation, energy efficiency, and social and cultural sustainability. A recent assessment that included a wide range of compliance indicators showed the resort’s commitment to quality and excellence.
The general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, Renato de Oliveira, expressed delight in earning the Green Globe Certification and the Forbes VERIFIED Responsible Hospitality label. He emphasized the resort’s commitment to environmentally conscious hospitality and sustainable tourism, highlighting the part played by the entire staff, or “Ladies and Gentlemen,” in providing outstanding guest experiences while maintaining environmental stewardship.
