As part of its participation in ITB Berlin 2025, the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) is excited to unveil a significant marketing campaign in Germany that includes the wrapping of 200 taxis in Berlin. One of Visit Maldives’ biggest outdoor campaigns to date, it will promote the Maldives as a top tourism destination in one of its main source markets.
In order to strategically align with the Berlinale (Berlin International Film Festival) and ITB Berlin, the world’s premier travel trade expo, the taxi campaign will run for five weeks, from 7th February 2025 to 13th March 2025. Over 600,000 people are anticipated to attend these events, giving the Maldives unmatched exposure. With their eye-catching Maldivian imagery and compelling content, the 200 branded cabs will have a significant impact in Berlin’s most noticeable locations. Targeting moviegoers and foreign tourists at this significant cultural event, the campaign will also feature noticeable billboards at the Berlinale in addition to the cabs.
The goal of this massive outdoor campaign is to raise brand awareness and increase German tourists’ interest in the Maldives. It represents a significant turning point in MMPRC’s marketing campaigns in Berlin.
In addition to this successful campaign, Visit Maldives will actively interact with the media and travel industry at ITB Berlin through a number of initiatives. This will involve participation in IMM Germany, a media and journalist-focused event, as well as seminars and panel discussions on subjects pertinent to the business.
The much-anticipated Maldivian Night has been rescheduled for the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai, which will take place at the end of April, while preparations are underway for a networking evening at ITB Berlin.
