Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) presented the French market with the wide variety of vacation experiences offered by the Maldives during IFTM Top Resa 2024, which was held in Paris, France, from September 17th September 2024 – 19th September 2024. reaches out to important travel consumers in all market areas, including MICE, business, and leisure. This year, Visit Maldives and a total of 35 representatives from 21 Maldivian tourism companies took part in the event.
This year’s Maldives booth, which takes up 121 square metres, was created to showcase the location’s distinctive fusion of luxury, sustainability, and scenic beauty. The exhibit showcases the Maldives’ natural charm, opulent resorts, abundant marine life, and unforgettable underwater experiences, as well as honeymoon packages. A selection of regional cuisine and advertising films highlighting the Maldives’ breath-taking scenery, eco-friendly lifestyle, and exceptional hospitality were also on display at the stand.
Meetings with travel trade partners, marketing firms, and media outlets were among the events that were planned for IFTM Top Resa 2024 in order to interact with travel trade partners and possible agents. To enhance the interactive experience for guests, a raffle featuring complimentary Maldivian vacations, sponsored by Brennia Kottefaru, Joy Island Maldives by The Cocoon Collection, and Robinson Noonu Maldives, was scheduled to occur at the booth. Customers who filled out the surveys at the Maldives exhibit were eligible to win a raffle prize. To keep trade representatives informed and bolster the Maldives’ strategic standing in the market, a Press Pack in French was also sent out.
As of August 2024, there have been 35,202 tourist arrivals from France, placing the country eighth in terms of visitors to the Maldives. Through its continual marketing efforts and promotional campaigns, MMPRC is concentrating on growing the number of arrivals in the luxury, family vacation, and sustainability segments for the French market. One of the highlights of the initiatives aimed at French tourists is the ongoing global campaign “Discover Maldives” Webinar series, which began with the French market.
