Dusit Hotels and Resorts, a hotel division of Dusit International, a prominent hotel and real estate development company in Thailand, has entered into a management agreement with Pearl Atoll Pvt Ltd for the management of dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives, a 125-key lifestyle resort situated on a private island close to Malé.
The new resort is now under development and is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2024. It will be Dusit’s first “all-inclusive” hotel and operate under the company’s upmarket dusitD2 brand. The lifestyle-driven resort will have a kids club, several food and beverage outlets, a fully equipped gym, and a flagship Namm Spa with a wide choice of Thai massage therapies and beauty treatments in addition to roomy overwater villas and family suites measuring between 77 and 319 sq m. There are three main private beaches for visitors to unwind on, in addition to a smaller “picnic beach” where they may enjoy alfresco dining.
The resort’s developers also intend to create a modest convention center and entertainment hub on the property, catering to tourists who want more than just the standard resort experience, taking advantage of the resort’s close proximity to Malé International Airport, which is only five minutes away by speedboat. These will also be overseen by Dusit and revealed further down the line. Care will be taken to make sure that every component of the resort blends in perfectly with the surroundings. Tree of Life, Dusit’s group-wide sustainability initiative, will strengthen this dedication by putting in place procedures and frameworks that reduce environmental effect.
Dusit’s second resort in the Maldives will be called dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives. On Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll, the first UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in the Maldives, the business also runs the award-winning luxury resort Dusit Thani Maldives, which opened its doors in 2012.
