In honour of Global Wellness Day, Coco Collection introduced its newest project, “Nurturing Minds,” which includes Wellness Navigators at Coco Bodu Hithi Maldives and Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu Maldives. This year-round initiative prioritises simple access to services for emotional well-being in an effort to transform mental health assistance for the company’s employees. The first meeting focused on mental health and general well-being, addressing topics like poor self-esteem and the value of self-love.
Dr. Shanooha Mansoor, a Senior Consultant Specialist in Psychiatry, and her colleague, psychologist Ali Mikhail Mahmood Razee, were invited to Coco Bodu Hithi by Coco Collection to launch the programme. Dr. Mansoor emphasised the importance of loving one’s mind as much as one’s body, talking about the advantages this way of thinking may have for managing stress and general wellbeing.
Dr. Abdulla Nazim and Dr. Hussain Shamah were both hosted concurrently at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu. Both resorts will continue to bring in a variety of specialists to talk about a broad range of intellectual health issues throughout the year in an effort to educate and increase awareness within the hospitality sector.
With the help of this programme, resort employees will be able to discover new facets of their total well-being in a psychologically secure work environment. Coco Collection thinks that by raising awareness of mental health issues and dispelling myths about it, this initiative can spur good change within the industry and we at Splendid Asia cannot wait to see the positive impact this will have on the industry.
