A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been struck by the Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and Booking.com, one of the top digital travel platforms in the world, to work together to promote the Maldives as a top vacation destination. This collaboration will make use of Booking.com’s extensive global presence and marketing know-how to highlight the islands’ breathtaking natural beauty, lively culture, and variety of experiences while promoting more travel to the area as a whole.
The Memorandum of Understanding, which will be in effect from 1st March 2025 to 1st March 2027, describes a framework for cooperation between Booking.com and MMPRC for a number of campaigns, cooperative initiatives, and strategic alliances. Through creative marketing, improving the Maldives’ tourism offerings’ visibility on Booking.com, creating collaborative marketing campaigns, holding workshops to train lodging providers, and encouraging sustainable tourism practices, these initiatives will concentrate on boosting visitor arrivals.

Booking.com will support MMPRC’s marketing campaigns with interesting promotional activities, train accommodation partners and MMPRC employees on supply chain optimization, and share insights on travel trends (in accordance with data privacy regulations) to guide promotional strategies. Additionally, Booking.com will actively support sustainable tourism practices in accordance with MMPRC’s objectives and contribute to MMPRC’s destination marketing campaigns.
